You can get Wolf's Blood Swordgrass effectively by farming the 3 enemies just before the "Keep Ruins" bonfire. Kill or run past the branding ladies that show up upon picking up the item and make your way back to Karla's cell. This is the quickest way to get here, if you already turned off the crossbow and didn't get to the Old King bonfire then you will have to go the long way round in the Demon Ruins. This is where the fight can get dangerous if you are caught in a combo. The best thing to do, is leave Rosaria until later in the game.
